Sergeant First Class Lauren Angert is originally from Lynchburg, Virginia. Before becoming a member of The U.S. Army Field Band in 2006, she earned a Master of Music degree from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Georgia. She has performed with various orchestras in Georgia, including the Gainesville and Toccoa Symphonies. Her teachers include Fred Ormand and D. Ray McClellan. SFC Angert is a member of the Capitol Clarinets and currently maintains a private clarinet studio in Howard County, Maryland.
